Inventory Optimizer, “the App”, provides cloud-based inventory demand forecasting and purchasing solution “the Service” to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account: Orders (including product details, quantities, and dates), Suppliers (names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping and billing addresses), Products (titles, SKUs, variants, pricing, and inventory levels), and Store information (shop name, currency, and time zone).

Additionally, we collect the following types of personal information from you and/or your customers once you have installed the App:

  • Registration information about you and others who may access the App on behalf of your store, such as your name, email address, and billing information.
  • Buyer interaction information such as IP address, browser type, time zone, and cookie data for individuals who visit your store, to help us improve forecasting accuracy and app performance.
  • Inventory and demand data uploaded by you or generated through the App to support forecasting and reporting functions.

We collect personal information directly from the relevant individual, through your Shopify account, or using the following technologies:

  • Cookies are data files that are placed on your device or computer and often include an anonymous unique identifier.
  • Log files track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.
  • Web beacons, tags, and pixels are electronic files used to record information about how you browse the Site.
  • Other tracking technologies such as session identifiers or analytics tools that help us understand user behavior within the App.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers in order to provide the Service and to operate the App. Additionally, we use this personal information to:

  • To provide and maintain the Service
  • To notify you about changes to our Service
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so
  • To provide customer care and support
  • To provide analysis or valuable information so that we can improve the Service
  • To monitor the usage of the Service
  • To detect, prevent and address technical issues

Sharing Your Personal Information

We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service (“Service Providers”), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Finally, we may also share your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Behavioral Advertising

Inventory Optimizer does not use your Personal Information for targeted advertising or behavioral marketing. Your data is only used to provide and improve our forecasting and inventory optimization services.

Opting Out

Since Inventory Optimizer does not engage in targeted advertising, there are no targeted advertising opt-outs required.

Your Rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us through the contact information below.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you subscribe to and use the App), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information will be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States, where our servers and third-party service providers are located.

Data Retention

When you subscribe to the App, we will maintain your Order Information for our records as long as your account is active, unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
